Amariah doesn't like to be told that she can't go anywhere, she likes to explore places, she wants to be able to go to a place and see for herself if it's worth exploring or not. She is honest and will tell the truth even if it hurts someone's feelings. She sometimes talks to herself, it looks like she's talking to no-one but she's actually just running things through her head
History:
Amariah was born an only child to Nathaniel and Charlotte SkyWolf. Her father enlisted in the army in 1906 and was killed in the line of duty during WW1 in 1915, it's been just her and her mother ever since.
Amariah was just 3 years old when her father died, she doesn't remember much about him. Her mother shows her pictures of him every once in a while but all it shows is a smiling man staring back at them
A couple of months after her dad had died, Amariah heard her mom crying in her bedroom wishing that her husband was still alive, not knowing that her daughter could hear everything, Amariah was taking a picture of her dad that her mom kept in a scrapbook on the table to her mom and accidentally brought the picture to life with him smiling and waving which freaked her out but when she went to show her mom, the picture was back to being still
Little things would start to happen around Amariah over the years that no-one could explain. The lights would flicker when she would get mad. Her mom witnessed her out in the garden talking to the flowers when she was 10 years old but Amariah would deny it thinking that her mom wouldn't believe her
A couple of months before her birthday Amariah woke up in her room to whispering all around her but when she would look around there wouldn't be anything there, just the sounds of whispers that she can't quite make out what is being said, there have been a couple of times where she thought her mom was talking to her but when she would look in the direction of the voice to answer, no-one was ever there
The morning of her 11th birthday felt different for Amariah but she couldn't explain why. She woke up to it being a normal day, her mother wished her a happy birthday with a kiss on her head but to her, the day just felt off

Amariah awoke on the morning of her 11th birthday to tapping outside her bedroom window. At first she thought that she was dreaming it until she started waking up fully and the tapping was still going non-stop and it wouldn't stop until it got Amariah’s attention
“Yes, yes, I'm up.” Amariah told whoever was doing the tapping as she sat on the side of her bed and stretched. The tapping had stopped but not for very long as it started back up again, this time with more urgency and impatience
Amariah looked at the window where there was a fluffy grey owl sitting on the ledge. The tapping had finally stopped as it clearly got her attention, it had a letter in its beak
“Huh, I thought you guys were nocturnal.” Amariah said as she opened the window “I've never seen owls out during the day like this before.”
The owl gave a little hoot as it dropped the letter on the window sill between them and then stared at her as if it was expecting something from her
Amariah took the letter from the bird, which didn't even fly away (Someone must own this bird.) and looked at the envelope, it was cream colored and smelled of old parchment. On the front there wasn't a stamp but it was addressed to her

It even knows where she sleeps. Amariah felt a chill run down her back with the thought of someone watching her, as she turned the envelope over and saw a shimmering wax seal with the letter H on it surrounded by a Lion, a Badger, a Raven and a Snake and the word Hogwarts underneath
“What's Hogwarts?” Amariah asked the owl as if expecting an answer back but instead all she got was a hoot out of it and a look as if saying ‘Really?’ Amariah could swear that she saw it roll its eyes at her
Amariah tore the letter open and found that most of the bulkiness of the envelope were a couple pieces of parchment paper that looked and smelled ancient. She took out the biggest page and read that one first
Dear Ms. SkyWolf,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
“This has got to be a joke right? I mean look at the things that I need to get.” Amariah read off the list from the smaller page “Cauldron, Robes, a wand, where on Earth am I supposed to find these items? I mean this is ridiculous, I am not a witch and there's most definitely no such thing as magic.”
Boy oh boy, was she wrong
