Amariah SkyWolf - Amariah SkyWolf - 10-19-2026 Amariah couldn't believe that magic was actually real when she got her school letter, at first she thought it was fake but as soon as she stepped into Diagon Alley she was convinced that the whole thing was real, especially when she saw things floating all by themselves. Walking into the wand shop was like a dream, she was watching other kids get their wands while she was waiting for her turn, everything was just so mesmerizing untill it was her turn "Hiya!" She waved with a smile "I'm here to get a wand." She wondered which wand she would leave the store with LINK to Application: https://knockturnbound.net/showthread.php?tid=1326 Pick a Creature: Unicorn What type of magic appeals to you: Healing Protection spells Most Proud of trait: Loyalty Confidence Compassion Which subject would you do best in Herbology How would you describe yourself: (pick as many as you want) Adaptable Light-Hearted Resilient Loyal Strong Willed Protective After Hogwarts, what would you like to do: Healer Fight against the Dark Work with Magical Creatures What are you afraid of: Being alone (Fill in the blank) Nightmares RE: Amariah SkyWolf - Bernadette Hawthorn - 10-21-2026 “Good day to you! Welcome to Elder and Ash, I am Bernadette…Hmm… Or Bernie or Miss Hawthorn or Witchy McWitchface,” she titters with laughter, high and squeaky. “Don’t you fret, I will answer to just about anything… Except Clyde.” She shakes her head emphatically. “HE is a bowtruckle and can be quite persnickety, so watch your eyeballs, he likes to poke.” She nods at the young student, as if what she said was the most important piece of knowledge to take away from this conversation. “Can I assume you are here to find your wand? Yes!? Of course! Good Good.” Not waiting for a response, Bernie comes around the counter and begins measuring the patron who just entered her shop. Lifting this arm and that, measuring each individual finger, kneeling and quickly measuring their feet, then popping back up to look deeply, and awkwardly into their eyes. “Fascinating. Did you know a quarter of the bones in your body are in your hand? No?! I didn't think so. OK! Let’s find you a wand. Pop Pop!” Bernie ran around the shop, spitting out random nonsense facts that most people really didn’t need to know. “Did you know that your left lung is slightly smaller than your right? Did ya? Nope. Why? To make room for your heart? Awwww, so sweet.” “Ok, let's try this one on for size.” Coming down from a ladder with multiple boxes haphazardly clutched in her arms. One attempts to jump out of her arms, but she manages to keep them all balanced. Handing the wand over to the student, Bernie steps back a touch so that she isn’t in the line of fire.. It was rare to find a match with the first box, but it could be done. “Go on then,” she said, waving her hands about. “Give it a flick.” I’m trying something a little different, so you have more say in the making of your wand. Below you will find the descriptions of multiple wand woods and cores that I think work well for your character. Take a look at the combinations. In your next post, you choose, you can find your perfect wand using the options provided, or pick a less than stellar option and blow something up in the shop. Bernie doesn’t mind. At the end of your post, put an OOC with your FAVORITE combo and if you are finding it in the first go, or if you want to RP a few duds first. If you think I got your character wrong, message me so we can work on it together. When I post I will add the size and flexibility HAVE FUN!! RE: Amariah SkyWolf - Amariah SkyWolf - 10-22-2026 Amariah’s head was spinning while the wandmaker was measuring her and talking a mile a minute about things that she didn't quite catch. What does measuring her feet have to do with holding a wand? She wished that the woman would just slow down a second and at least take a breath before starting a new sentence, my goodness.
Just as quickly as she came the wandmaker left and came back with a stack of boxes. Amariah barely had time to breathe when a wand was presented to her. A Rowan and Pegasus Wing Feather. As soon as she wrapped her hand around the wand she immediately felt a connection like the wand was meant to be “Oh, this one speaks to me.” Amariah said with a smile “No, really, it's actually saying something, can't you hear it?” Amariah was hearing whispering around her and she wondered if the wandmaker could hear it too. It was a beautiful wand, simple and basic which suited her just fine, she was hoping that whatever wand that chose her wasn't too flashy or had some sort of intricate design carved onto it, she liked things that were simple as long as it got the job done “This seems to be the right wand for me.” Amariah said with a smile. As soon as she put the wand back in its box, the whispering around her stopped and it felt as if her soul was complete Amariah couldn't believe her luck, she came into the shop expecting to stay awhile until the right wand came along and instead gets it on the first try. She couldn't wait to see how her first year with her new wand would go. This is going to be the best year ever! OOC: This is her wand. Thank you so much! |
