Personality & House Preference
Personality:
Blossom, is the 7th Asquith sister, the youngest, the one who has learnt from all her older sisters. Each has left an impression on the young girl, but Blossom was wise enough to pick and choose which parts she took. From Flora she took her stage presence, from Clover her bravery, Rose taught her how to manipulate people, she took Tulip's ability to speak her mind and dam the consequences, Briar taught her to use knowledge to get a head and Poppy well aside from incendio, she learnt loyalty.
She took all she learnt and mixed it together in her own tiny package and became the most adaptable of all the Asquith girls, she can be a queen and a diva, she can speak her mind, she knows knowledge is power and that with friends comes loyalty.
History:
Blossom was born on the eve of war, the last of the Asquith sisters, after 7 attempts it was clear Beresford Asquith would not be given a male heir, and the daughters they kept getting were becoming more and more trouble.
By the time Blossom was born her mother was definitely bored of the baby stage. There were the usual family photos and a few of her baby things kept, but her parents had stopped being wowed somewhere after the 3rd child. Not to mention they had their hands full, from teenagers, pre-teens, children and toddlers, (an especially difficult toddler who bit everyone).
But for all the lack of interest her parents paid, it was made up for by her sisters, they all doted on her, she was everyone's favourite, even Tulip who claimed she hated everyone and everything. And as she grew she knew how to use this and make it work for her. She was a sponge to her sisters affections and skills learning from each of them.
That wasn't to say she didn't become her own person but she was better for her sisters. The last two years had been increasingly lonely for Blossom, with all the girls away at school or being sent away to camp due to Mater's distemper with them all. Two years of empty rooms and no more play mates. Blossom counted the days till it was her turn to board the train to school, to go back to where the majority of her family was.

Prompt Response:
The light streamed in the room despite the early hour and the heavy curtains. It didn't wake Blossom up, she'd been awake for several hours already. She couldn't sleep, she was too excited, she had been waiting days and she knew today was the day, the day the started sending the Hogwarts letters.
She looked around the bedroom, two empty beds sat against two of the walls, Briar and Poppy, her older sisters, well two of them she had four more but they had other rooms, this was the bedroom of the youngest Asquith girls. And pretty much for the last two years she'd been alone in the room. She missed her sisters, sure they didn't always get on, and they all had very different tastes when it came to their side of the room Briar always had weird things growing in flasks and Poppy's side looked like some woodland creature had made it's home there. But they were sisters and they were all each other had.
Blossom had been checking the owls each day, not that her parents noticed, they never noticed anything, well they noticed all the bad things her and her sisters did, never anything good. She had even asked if the post had been. Her parents joked asking why she thought she would be getting a letter.
This had caused her to worry, maybe they had decided not to send her to Hogwarts or after 6 Asquith girls the school had decided not to invite anymore. This thought made Blossom's heart sink, what if she wasn't going this year? How would she cope, another year alone in this room as everyone else was together having great adventures at Hogwarts.
She pulled her legs out of bed and put her feet into her slippers, but remained sitting on the edge of her bed. She looked at the clock, on the wall, it wasn't quite 6am, still too early for post. She sighed, stood up and went to sit on Briar's bed, as she had done since she was very small. Picking up a stuffed frog, it was faded green and had one eye missing, something that had happened after a sisterly dust-up. She curled up and tried not to worry.
Several hours later she was sat washed and dressed at the end of the breakfast table, her parents at the other end, it was a long table designed so all 9 of them could comfortably sit round. Blossom had already asked several times if there was post, but had been ignored, she knew there had been post, she could see it on the little sliver dish between her parents.
She watched as her father picked up the post, "Four letters from the school" he said gruffly.
Her mother looked annoyed, "Four! How on earth could they have all gotten one!"
"Parent's of Poppy Asquith, bet she's been fighting again, Parents of Tulip Asquith, well it wouldn't be a Thursday if we didn't have a letter about Tulip, Parent's of Rose Asquith, I don't even want to guess and..." he father stopped, "Miss Blossom Asquith...."
