I have been writing to you all summer but received no reply. I imagine Allegra intercepted them.

I wanted to tell you I wouldn’t be on the train. I met someone this spring. Meeting him has turned my life upside down... for good and for bad both.

Father introduced me to who I was supposed to marry. He was dull, unlike Dragon. And then father found out about the someone I mentioned, through the Prophet gossip pages of all things, and threatened to marry me off before school started.

So I left. I am not returning home. I have a new home now.

I have been in contact with grandfather. And now you.

The hardest part is Ever. I can’t even see her. I can’t leave where I am.

I am so happy you wrote. I miss you terribly.

Please update me about your life. Tell me everything.

There is so much to comment on, I don’t know where to start.

First off… WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU MET SOMEONE?! I need ALL the details! Talk about burying the lead!

Ok, we will get back to that.

Allegra hiding letters. NO SHOCK THERE. I still don’t understand how we are related to that woman.

Your father is a complete fuck-wit. I honestly cannot stand that man. That is a story for another day. Who were you to marry? Do I know him? What was his name? Was he at least nice?

I did win the betrothed lottery with Drago, but you get the good with the bad. His family is pretty horrible. But I think we will manage. I learned over the summer that I will have to live at Harewood House.

Everyone else seemed to think that was a given.

I did not…

Also, I have to give him two sons. Having my future father-in-law explain this was FANTASTIC, let me tell you.

If you’re not returning home, where are you living? Do you need anything? Can I do anything?

I saw the article and all I can say is you looked amazing and happy and possibly a little drunk. All I care about is that you’re happy.

Two sons? Aren't they aware that is not how it works? I hope that someone explained that to whoever on their side signed the contract. That sounds absolutely horrible and I am truly sorry.

Harewood House. That sounds stuffy. Are you okay?

The one chosen for me is Stuart Pritchard. He plays on some Quidditch team, honestly I couldn't tell you which. His father works at the Ministry, which is obviously why he was chosen for me. He is... 'okay' looking, I guess. But he was dull and I couldn't wait to get away from him.

Now. The man.

His name is Mateo Wesley. He is not a pureblood. He isn't really... anything that my father would care about. He is a big brother and sends money to his mum. He works in imports and exports, which is considerably less glamorous than it sounds. He's Spanish. He is the reason that I ended up in the gossip pages, and also the reason that I left home. I also have a roof over my head because of him.

I met him on the last Hogsmeade weekend last term. And snuck out that night. He took me dancing at a jazz club and it was magical in all the right ways. I didn't tell you because you had enough going on at the time with Dragon. He took me out every Saturday until the end of term. There was one Saturday that I did not make it back to Hogwarts until the next night. I'll... let you use your imagination as to why.

It feels so good to be able to tell you these things finally.
