Here on Knockturn Bound, our commercial district has many shops within the Diagon Alley, Knockturn Alley, and Hogsmeade areas. While these are standard shops that allow members the opportunity to RP visits, catching up with friends, or start new adventures, they are by no means the only shops IC found in these places.

Much like the Residential Wizarding World, RPers are able to register for IC business properties. Simply fill out the type of business using the code below, and it will be added to the registry. The more information you provide about your shop, the more characters may be able to mention it in their RPs!

While we will not be creating new shop forums at this time, this provides the opportunity for the more entrepreneurial characters among us to have an IC-established bit of canon. These would also be considered in the category of "unique careers" for those who decide to be IC shopkeepers and can be listed as official employment.

At the end of each IC term, a check-in will be done to ensure the shop is still 'manned and operational'. If proof of this cannot be provided, the shop will be removed from the directory. To pass this check-in, at least one thread must be submitted in the check-in thread that directly relates to the shop. This can be discussing some business, purchases, event happening in the shop/etc. and cannot simply be a passing mention of it.

When was it established: Diagon Alley: 1922, but dates back centuries in Russia where the business originates.

Description of the shop (include what it sells): Squished amongst the storefronts of Diagon Alley, the shop seems almost unremarkable at first glance. A façade of polished dark oak, simple gold lettering and hundreds of vials gleaming behind curved glass betray little of the grand interior waiting beyond a door engraved with the family crest.



Inside, an impossibly larger space than the exterior suggests expands before the customer, stretching high and wide into a marble hall that feels more like a palace than a shop. The floor reflects the light of glittering chandeliers above, columns rise towards the ceiling on the gallery stretching to either side of the hall, and gold accents gleam beneath the glazed atrium ceiling. Accented with ice blue, the Zdravkova's colour appears in upholstery, rugs, tapestries, and marble alike.

Ahead of it all, Igor Zdravkova — the family's founder — overlooks the comings and goings from the frame of his portrait hung high onto the wall. Everything screams opulent, luxurious, and the confidence of a family accustomed to power, legacy and the certainty that memory and history can both be sold and bought.
